Motorhomes

The number of motorhomes on UK roads has dwindled slightly over the last twelve months as the current financial climate has caused many people who own expensive commodities like motorhomes and caravans to sell them on. However, because of this there is currently a highly active second hand market for these vehicles, so if you’re thinking of purchasing a caravan, campervan or a motorhome then now is the time as you’re likely to get a very good price on one of these vehicles.
However, before purchasing a vehicle it is important you do some research as there a lot of additional costs that you will have to pay to keep motorhomes up and running. For example, many of the amenities in the vehicle such as the kitchen and bathroom facilities will require gas bottles to fuel them, and the waste tanks must be regularly emptied and supplied with chemicals. Couple this with the high cost of fuelling motorhomes and you may find that running one is a little more expensive than you first thought. However, if you’re only using motorhomes infrequently then this becomes less of an issue.
There are many different makes and models of motorhomes produced by various different manufacturers, some of whom exclusively produce motorhomes. Thankfully there is a great deal of information about motorhomes freely available on the internet, so you should be able to find plenty of specifications about any of the motorhomes currently being sold second hand.
