Architectural Hardware
Door handles are amongst the most common and readily available varieties of architectural hardware, although there are numerous other items that also referred to as architectural hardware such as hinges, window fittings and power sockets that we use everyday. We often take these items for granted, however they are often essential to the construction industry and a great deal of thought and consideration often goes into their design to ensure that they are ergonomic and highly functional. Most people who require items of architectural hardware will find that they are readily available from most DIY shops, particularly the large DIY stores that are often located in out of town retail parks. However companies and businesses, particularly those in the construction industry who require items of architectural hardware in large quantities will often purchase them from specialist wholesalers.
In many cases a construction firm will have to enlist the services of a specialist metal working company who will be able to fabricate items of architectural hardware that precisely fulfill their customers' requirements. Many of the companies that are able to produce these items will run a website with a portfolio containing numerous examples of their work. These companies will also typically have a wide variety of other items of architectural hardware amongst their stock which they will make available to their customers. They do not necessarily exclusive sell wholesale to businesses and many of the items will be available for members of the public to purchase too.
